: ::: {.about-body}
I am a developer, researcher, professor, and in my spare time (and busy times too), an enthusiastic entrepreneur who loves the business world. My passion lies in using AI technologies to transform the audiovisual industry and raise the bar in computing education, always keeping an eye on innovation and startups.
I am available for collaborations and projects in AI applications in education, audiovisual production automation, educational competitive computing, and information management.
With a career that combines solid corporate experience (7+ years at companies like GVT/Vivo) and academic excellence (UFMG, UFPR, UFV), I constantly seek to connect scientific knowledge with market opportunities. Currently, as a professor at CEFET-MG, I focus on Research and mentor Tech Startups, integrating innovation and technical education.
What I Do
I am currently a Professor at CEFET-MG (Timóteo), where I teach courses in the Algorithms, Software Engineering, and Compilers core. My work combines three pillars:
- Technical & Higher Education: I develop active methodologies focused on Algorithm Techniques, Computer Graphics, Entrepreneurship, and Frameworks.
- Mentorship & Startups: I lead Mundo do Código (AI in programming teaching) and Putz.ai (AI and audiovisual automation).
- Innovation Ecosystems: I serve on the Board of Ei Compartilhar, strengthening entrepreneurship and connecting talent with investors in Vale do Aço.
Research & Publications
My current research focus investigates the application of AI and Gamification strategies to optimize computing learning, especially through Competitive Computing. I have papers published in international conferences covering:
- Informatics in Education: Technologies to improve the student experience.
- Knowledge Engineering: Collaborative web environments and information management.
- New Frontiers: Machine translation, Accessibility, and HCI.
Open Source Contributions
Although my GitHub is not extremely active, I have had contributions to various projects over the years, many in the old environment like SourceForge.net, including projects with Apertium.org. I believe that knowledge must be open and universal, and that Collaborative Open Software is an incredible opportunity to improve the world. Each contribution, no matter how small, is part of a larger movement toward a more accessible and collaborative future.
Teaching & Workshops
As a Professor at CEFET-MG, I mainly teach the following disciplines:
- Algorithms and Data Structures 2
- Compilers
- Programming Paradigms
- Framework-based Development
- Competitive Programming Techniques
- High Technology Business
I develop educational materials and conduct workshops on web development and related technologies. I also mentor startups and guide them through business modeling, validation, pitch development, and market analysis.
My interest lies not in theoretical AI, but in the application of Generative LLM models in Knowledge areas.
Technical Skills
My technical work combines academic research with practical development, focusing on solutions for the real market and education.
Stacks & Technologies: - Back-end: Java (Spring), Node.js (TypeScript), Python, PHP. - Front-end: JavaScript, Angular. - AI & Data: Generative LLMs, Natural Language Processing, Graphs. - DevOps: Git (GitLab/GitHub), CI/CD, Microservices Architecture, AWS/GCP. - Education: Quarto, Jupyter, Gamification, and Competitive Computing.
